It is an innovative and dynamic form of the practice that makes use of silk hammocks hung from the ceiling to take your routine to new heights. With the hammock to bear your weight, you are free to try all sorts of postures and movements while in the air. What you get is a blend of yoga with some Pilates and acrobatics for an experience that is as much a mental and physical challenge as it is exhilarating. On top of the relaxation and stress relief it affords, you will find it builds up your core stability, balance, strength and flexibility in no time.

You can expect your personal skills, strength, and understanding of Aerial Yoga to level up and get a feel for the more creative side of Aerial Yoga while you are in India for our ttc program. We have daily classes covering an array of poses, sequences and transitions, not to mention some restorative and therapeutic work. Our instructors will be on hand to give you the kind of one on one guidance you need to polish your technique and become a better teacher. Above all, we want to make sure you and those you will be teaching in the future can do this safely and effectively, so there is a strong focus on things like body alignment, being aware of your breath and moving with intention.

Our training program is not just about the physical side of Aerial Yoga; we have included the very philosophy and other aspects of traditional yoga as well. You will be studying the texts and teachings to get a better handle on yogic philosophy and what it means for our lives today. There is room for meditation and pranayama too, so you can work on your breathing and find some inner quiet. All of this adds up to a rather transformative and holistic way of learning. By the end of it, you will have grown into a well-rounded yoga practitioner and a capable Aerial Yoga instructor.

Answers of Most asked QUESTIONS

Frequent Asked Questions

Absolutely. You do not need background acrobatics or advanced flexibility to start. Our course breaks down the fundamentals from the ground up, teaching you how to trust the fabric, manage your weight distribution, and progress at a pace that feels secure and controlled.

Yes, many people with a fear of heights have successfully practiced aerial yoga. The practice takes place close to the ground, and the height can be gradually increased as one becomes more comfortable. The supportive nature of the hammock creates a feeling of security and allows individuals to build trust in their own body and the equipment. Instructors are trained to create a safe and nurturing environment, offering guidance and reassurance throughout the practice.

Yes. Our aerial hammocks are rigged using industrial-grade, professional equipment designed to support dynamic heavy loads safely. The fabric acts as a supportive tool rather than a restriction, helping to relieve pressure on your joints and making deep stretches more accessible for every body size.

While traditional yoga has lots of benefits, the suspended hammock allows you to experience passive decompression of the spine, particularly during inversions. It deepens your flexibility by utilizing gravity, builds upper body and grip strength, and provides unique therapeutic support that mat based practices cannot replicate.

We recommend form fitting clothing that covers your armpits and the backs of your knees, such as leggings and a snug t-shirt. This protects your skin from fabric friction and prevents the hammock from shifting. Please avoid wearing any clothing with zippers, buttons, or jewelry, as these can easily snag and damage the delicate silk.
